Split Second Response (SSR) is a licensed California Department of Consumer Affairs: Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS) and American Red Cross training center with a highly-skilled staff that includes National Champion Martial Artists, and current and former police officers, and military veterans. SSR is a unique training facility that provides an amazing blend of services that include martial arts lessons, First-Aid/CPR/AED courses, firearms training (basic pistol, CCW Certification, and Advanced Pistol), and training courses for members of the security industry. The services for security professionals include guard cards (Powers to Arrest and Authorized Use of Force), firearms, and baton certification courses, as well as Taser and Active Shooter training.

Greetings!  I'm Denise Duran, I grew up in Cupertino when it was known for its Cherry Orchards, not Apple Computers!  Adulting began when I met my husband of nearly 30 years and he suggested that we move to the East Bay to purchase an affordable home.  Brentwood became the destination when our eldest was ready to start Kindergarten.  With three kids, three dogs, and 20 years later, we have moved throughout the City's neighborhoods and now, nearly empty-nesters, continue living our best lives here.
