Employment Type:  $42,000-$52,000 annually.  This is a full time exempt position.  Occasional weekends and evenings will be required.  Compensation includes paid time off.

Village Community Resource Center (VCRC), located in Brentwood, California is a community-based organization that serves struggling families in Far East Contra Costa County.  We believe all children deserve an equal opportunity to succeed in school, work, and life. Specific requirements include:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Fluency in Spanish (written and verbal) is required
  • Experience working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent people skills including verbal and written communication skills (literacy in Microsoft Office)
  • 3-5 years supervisory experience
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for supervision & delivery of the K-5th grade After School Academy (2-3 service sites), Summer Aquatics Program, Summer Camp, Early Literacy Classes, Parent Engagement, and Parent Leadership Program
  • Maintains communication and positive relationships with school administrators and teachers
  • Plans and executes VCRC events (field trips, intersession activities, family fundraisers & graduation)
  • Plans and executes monthly parent meetings and coordinates opportunities for guest speakers
  • Works effectively to build relationships and maintain ongoing communication with a diverse population
  • Assists with maintaining and monitoring client data in SalesForce database
  • Compiles data regarding program outcomes
  • Provides support to individuals or clients through evaluations, surveys, and needs assessments
  • Provides conflict –resolution support to individuals
  • In collaboration with program staff, recruits and enrolls program participants
  • Assists with recruiting, interviewing, orientating, and training new program staff and volunteers
  • Coordinates and supervises the work of program staff to ensure high quality programs
  • Provides ongoing professional development that builds the capacity of staff (includes coaching, modeling, observation/feedback, & trainings)
  • Effectively empowers individuals to reach their goals and increase their levels of responsibility
  • Speaks to various community groups regarding VCRC, its programs, and volunteer opportunities
  • Nurtures current partnerships, builds new relationships, and networks with various community partners
  • Schedules programs and services available through current partners: Ronald McDonald Dental Care Mobile, Conversational English classes, immigration clinics, Summer Lunch Program, and Counseling Services
Minimum Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
  • Knowledge of human behavior and development
  • Demonstrated experience problem solving, balancing priorities, and management of multiple tasks
  • Ability to communicate (verbal and written) effectively and appropriately with others.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to utilize agency resources, technology and partners to appropriately answer questions and provide information to staff and other service providers
  • Proven ability to maintain professional boundaries and client confidentiality
  • Ability to work effectively with families of varying cultural, social, and economic backgrounds
  • Ability to prioritize work, organize, and manage time effectively
  • Ability to maintain records, prepare reports and correspondence related to the work
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude and a sense of humor
